Welcome to Pret

Pret creates handmade natural food avoiding the obscure chemicals, additives and preservatives common to so much of the 'prepared' and 'fast' food on the market today.

Shop little and often... and eat from the fridge. We get good, honest ingredients delivered to all of our shops early every day. We use them when they're fresh. So you won't find cupboards full of 'long-life' food in our kitchens - just a big walk-in fridge.

This egg and all the ones in our shop kitchens, come from free-range chickens, running around in fields….not stuck in factories. This is better for the chicken, better for British farmers and better for food miles.

Herbs are easy to grow and taste better fresher. Find a sunny window sill and off you go… Our mustard cress is grown and delivered daily so we simply wash it and cut straight onto our sandwiches.

We're particularly proud of our rare roast beef, Wiltshire-cured ham and higher welfare British chicken. But the truth is, it's better to enjoy a little less meat and a little more veg. We're often asked for more veggie options in our menus and we keep adding them.

We love our squeezed juices and 'Pick-Me-Ups', but don't forget fresh water. Sipping little and often throughout the day is good for the brain and gives the skin a healthy glow. Stay hydrated and stay happy.

Not all fats are equal. The amazing avocado is often the first choice for the super-healthy. Packed full of monosaturates (good fats), vitamins and other good stuff, avocados are simply better, fresher. We scoop, slice and rush ours out of every shop kitchen.

Don't you think 'low calorie' chocolate cake sounds ridiculous? It's not the answer. If you want to be slim, or simply bright and healthy, enjoy good, honest food in moderation. Eat three times a day (not too much, not too little) and avoid processed junk and snacks.

We think eating freshly prepared food made with good, honest ingredients wins the game. For the nutrition conscious, you'll find calories and sat fat counts for all of our food in our shops.
